Child Development

Nurturing the Next Generation

Initiative Overview

We recognise that everything that we are doing is in vain if we aren’t intentionally pouring into the next generation. Therefore, we deliberately train churches and communities in how to run holistic programs for children.

Core Program Activities

How we translate our vision into specific, practical change operations every day.

Mentorship Meetings

A platform we use to equip children’s ministry leaders and build their capacity in holistic mission so they can effectively serve children.

Intergenerational Training

A training used to develop and build capacity of churches and leaders in regards to the importance of the children’s ministry in the local church. Emphasizing the importance of knowing and understanding intergenerational relationships in a church and how best to integrate the children’s ministry.

Reach 4 Life

A discipleship platform we use for children to create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where they can truly express themselves and engage in meaningful discussions on topics that matter.

Awana Games

Awana Games are the most active and engaging part designed to draw children in through their exciting and enjoyable nature. These games serve as a good evangelism tool that creates opportunities for children to hear and experience the gospel in a fun and welcoming environment. And it is structured to include children of all ages by emphasizing active participation. By working together in teams, children develop a sense of belonging while learning cooperation and teamwork.

Children’s Fellowship

Children’s fellowship encompasses the three segments of Awana, which are Council Time, Team Time, and Game Time. Council Time is a time where children specifically get to be grounded in God’s Word and get to learn biblical principles and values that shape their worldview and inform their decisions. The group discussions during team time help children dig deep and critically think about the principles they are learning and receive encouragement and help on how they can put them into practice. And through structured games, children learn about teamwork and cooperation while enjoying fellowship with one another.

Children’s Camp

Our annual children’s camp is used to nurture children’s faith, spiritual growth and personal development. It builds children’s spiritual growth through Bible lessons being taught, memorable experiences, and holistic development because of the various activities children get to be engaged in that involve lessons, group discussions, presentations, and games. But most of all, children get to enjoy Christian Fellowship and building of relationships during their time in camp.
