Mobilizing over 250 local churches for community mobilization and holistic advocacy.

Initiative Overview

The program works with over 250 churches in five urban, economically poor communities, mobilising leaders and congregations to practice integral church community engagement. We train facilitators from each church to explore integral mission and church community engagement. These facilitators then work with their congregation to share their learning and explore what integral mission means for them as a church in their community. We are passionate about holistic advocacy and justice and we teach our partners to hold public office holders accountable according to the constitution.

Transformation Journey

This training helps many pastors (particularly those without formal theological training) to grasp the basic principles of church governance and leadership ideologies, particularly providing the church with a model for practicing integral mission.

Church and community Mobilization Process

To help the Church realize that many problems and challenges faced can be solved with their own Material Assets and Resources. The idea is to awaken the church on how to identify and value the Material Assets and Resources which are within their reach and utilize them for the betterment of their lives, local churches and local communities.

Theology of Work

The purpose of the training is to help leaders understand that God created us in His image to be productive and involved in purposeful activity as stewards of creation and explain how that applies to the church and its membership in our local context.

Global Leadership Summit

The GLS is an annual event that aims to sharpen the leadership acumen of various people that are spearheading institutions. We are planning to harness this training for leaders within our networks to challenge and grow their capacities to lead effectively.

Poverty Alleviation Bible Study

This program primarily focuses on addressing the four broken relationship man has with God, Self, Fellow Man and Nature.

Water, Sanitation and Health

Most of the communities that have partnered with JC lack access to clean water. Because of this we have discovered that in these communities they are affected by water borne diseases. The provision of boreholes and improved water system is helping to reduce cases of water borne diseases.

Food Security

Through this program Jubilee Centre supports vulnerable families with conservation farming methods trainings, Organic fertilizers and Vegetable seeds (COH) to improve food security at household level.

Education

Jubilee Centre supports churches to build classroom spaces for children to access quality education within their communities. Jubilee Centre provides school supplies such as desks, Tables, Chairs, writing Boards and text books to improve learning conditions for children in community schools.
